Our first stop was a drive to the end of Lake Wakutipu up the Frankton Arm Peninsular. Very nice real estate there.
Looking down from the start of Frankton Arm
All the rivers have very little water. A lot of them only a trickle. Also very dry down south.
We passed Lake Hayes (came over dull a few black clouds above) on our way out to the Kawarau River Bungie bridge. No I am not going to jump, just have a look.
Someone getting ready to jump.
They have jumped but I missed them going down, they are now hanging just behind the rock.
Boat going to retrieve them

Sign on the toilet doors inside the bungie building.
Had lunch at this cafe, yes thats PT in the middle DOING LUNCH.... A few spots of rain here.

Back to town to have another quick walk round. Is that you Joe and Ralf. Leaving tomorrow for stopover (sleep) at Waimate, before arriving at Christchurch on Friday. Two nights there, home on Sunday arriving Auckland about 4.00pm.
Our Motel room is end unit looking over the lake, so has views out of three sides. the above is looking out our kitchen window (west) looking towards the gondola, cut out patch in the trees.
View out the eastern side towards the Remarkables.
View looking the south side down the lake. Good position. Eight minute walk down the road in front of us, along the waterfront through the gardens and you are on the beach.
